MBE Innovator Award

“For advancing the growth of wide bandgap II-VI semiconductors by molecular beam epitaxy and demonstrating their unique physical properties and potential novel device applications”. The MBE Innovator Award is co sponsored by Veeco Instruments and the NAMBE Advisory Board and recognizes individuals whose innovative work has significantly advanced the field of molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The award consists of a plaque and a check of $3,000. The 2017 MBE Innovator Award was presented to Prof. Tamargo during the conference banquet on Tuesday October 17.

NAMBE Young Investigator Award

Ohio State University

“For contributions to the development of molecular beam epitaxy based wide band gap materials and devices”. The annual award is sponsored by the NAMBE Advisory Board and recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the science and technology of MBE before the age 40. The award consists of a plaque and a $1,000 Check. The 2017 NAMBE Young Investigator award was presented to Prof. Rajan during the conference banquet on Tuesday October 17.
